The Diocesan School Advisory Council (DSAC) is composed of principals, clergy, volunteers and representatives from each region with a wide range of relevant expertise and diverse backgrounds. The council oversees the strategic plan and serves in an advisory capacity to the bishop and superintendent.

Kathy Preston, Retired Principal, DSAC Chair
Kathy retired after 20 years working in the Diocese of Charleston as a teacher and principal. She serves as Chair of the Academic Excellence Committee.
Jackie LaPan Edgerton, Esq., DSAC Vice Chair
Jackie is the mother to two daughters at Bishop England High school and a parishioner at Stella Maris Church on Sullivan’s Island. She serves as the Vice Chair of DSAC and on the Governance and Leadership Committee.

Mamie Hopkins Boyd, Interim Principal
Mamie is the Interim Principal of St. Anthony of Padua School in Greenville. She is married to James Earl Boyd and has two daughters, three granddaughters and three grandsons. She serves on the Academic Excellence Committee.
Steven Cunningham, Principal
Steven is the principal of Prince of Peace School in Taylors. He has been an educator and administrator in Catholic education for the last 21 years in Minnesota, California and South Carolina. He serves as Coordinator on the Mission and Catholic Identity Committee.
Kristine Galemmo
Jacqualine Kasprowski, Special Projects Coordinator
Jacquie has been involved in Catholic Education at the secondary level for nearly 50 years, as educator, president, principal, interim- and associate superintendent of schools. She retired from full-time employment in June 2019, and now does project coordination on a part-time basis for the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Charleston. She is married to Darryl, and has three daughters, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Sandra Leatherwood, Accreditation Coordinator
Sandra is the former Superintendent and Accreditation Coordinator for the Diocese of Charleston. Currently, she assists the Catholic Schools Office with Strategic Planning for 31 schools in South Carolina.
Wydna Lee Martin, Parent Representative
Wydna serves on the Arts Committee for the school board of the Midlands Arts Conservatory, and is the Treasurer for the Cesar Presbott Foundation to provide food, clothing, school, medical and athletic supplies to communities in Bronx, New York and the Dominican Republic. She is the mother of a child at Cardinal Newman School in Columbia, and serves on the Catholic Identity Committee for DSAC.
Ronald Poles, Principal
Ron is the principal of St. John Neumann School in Columbia. He has been an educator, supervisor and principal for over 30 years, is married and has children and grandchildren. He serves as the Coordinator of Leadership on the Governance and Leadership Committee.
Deborah Wilfong, Principal
Deborah is the principal of St. Andrew School in Myrtle Beach. She has been an educator for over 30 years and has taught grade levels from preschool to middle school. Debbie has four children and one granddaughter. She serves as Chair on the Academic Excellence Committee.
Donavan Yarnall, Principal
Donavan is the principal of St. Joseph School in Columbia. He serves on the Operational Vitality Committee.
