• 40 Days for Life

Every child’s life that is lost through abortion is nothing short of an affront to God, and if that does not spur us to action, then what will? The most effective way we can work to end this genocide is through prayer. People stand and pray daily to end this blight, and you are being called to join them. Starting September 23rd, please join our 40 Days for Life campaign. Despite laws to protect our children, abortions continue here in Greenville, and last year thousands of children lost their live sin our state as a result. We must continue to pray and to be a visible presence to draw attention to this human tragedy until all life is protected from conception to natural death.

40 Days for Life is a campaign of prayer, fasting, and public vigils at abortion facilities. There are two major campaigns each year, although Greenville keeps vigil every day. Scripture tells us our responsibility is to “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” (Proverbs 24:11). Are you?

This ministry’s backbone is prayer, and you are needed as a witness to join us in praying outside the Greenville abortion facility during the Fall campaign, starting September 23rd. 40 Days for Life Closing Celebration: Sunday, November 2, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Christ the King Church, 1223 Grove Road, Prayer warriors will share testimonies from the current campaign, and then have a “Celebration of Life” with refreshments and a drawing for door prizes. Bring a chair.

• Life Chain

Sunday, October 4, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, Woodruff Road, Greenville4, and different locations in SC. Please join others across the country and Canada for this peaceful, prayerful, public witness for the sanctity of human life. Your church is assigned the same place on the route as last year. Life Chain guidelines request that we use approved signs and stand at least 10 feet apart. Call or text Ingrid (864)991-5873 for sign pick-up information and other questions.

• Rosaries for Life

Pray the rosary during 40 Days for Life for the intentions to end abortion, for the conversion of our society, and for an end to other assaults on human life. Turn in your counts at your local parish or email your count each week to familylife@charlestondiocese.org.
