The Chancery Accounting Team led by the Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions of the Chancery, ensuring the accurate and compliant management of financial resources in alignment with diocesan policies, Catholic teachings, and best practices in financial stewardship. The Controller will manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and audits for the Diocese and its affiliated entities.  Additionally, this department provides payroll management and processing for the Chancery and certain of our Parish Accounting Services locations.

Parish Accounting Services (PAS) provides guidance on diocesan policy and assists parishes and schools in effective management of assets by promoting best practices, financial integrity, and transparency.  Parish Accounting Services presently serves nearly half of the parish, mission, and school locations of the Diocese of Charleston in providing accounting services and assisting pastors, presidents, and principals with the financial administration of parishes and schools.

The Financial Planning & Analysis team is responsible for the consolidation of financial operations, budgeting, and strategic and capital planning for parishes, schools, and other church entities. The FP&A team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health, sustainability, and operational vitality of all organizations within the Diocese of Charleston. FP&A supports the Bishop and the CFO in planning for the continued growth of the Catholic Church in South Carolina with data-driven analysis.
