With Father Thomas G. Morrow, STD. Father Morrow received his doctorate of sacred theology in moral theology from the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in 1999. He was host for three years (1989-1992) of Catholic Faith Alive!, radio program on WNTR in Washington, and has appeared as a guest on Mother Angelica Live and The Abundant Life on EWTN. He has had articles published in Homiletics and Pastoral Review, New Covenant, Our Sunday Visitor, Priest Magazine, Laywitness and more. He is the author of Overcoming Sinful Anger; Be Holy: A Catholic Guide to The Spiritual Life; and Achieving Chastity in A Pornographic World.

Praying Today in a Busy World, with Keith Reeves Barron, OCDS, Ph.D.

“Our God is a very patient God who waits quietly for us to find time to give him each day. However, our world is so busy that time just slips away. The day of prayer will focus on different ways that we can pray to draw closer to God in our very busy lives. It will focus on the traditional foundations of personal prayer and how we can adapt this to our busy lives and through that to find deeper, spiritual, healing and Union with God.”

Keith has been a spiritual director since 1982, guiding and counseling individuals and groups – lay and ordained, secular and religious – in their personal faith journey and interpersonal relations within a faith context. He regularly gives public presentations, deliver talks and direct retreats in a variety of university, church, community, and academic settings. Keith has been a member of the Order of Carmelites Discalced Secular since 1982 when he entered the St. Joseph Community, Washington, DC. He is the founder of the Carith Community of Holy Father Elijah (Pittsburgh, PA), where he was acting president (1991-1994) and founder of the Good Shepherd Community of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Columbia, SC), where he was president from 1995-2000. He continues to provide lectures and ongoing formation to the OCDS community. Keith received his Bachelor of Arts — double major in psychology and religious studies — from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. He earned his master’s degree and doctorate in religious studies, concentration in spirituality, from the Catholic University of America. He also earned an educational specialist degree in counseling from the University of South Carolina.
