The Marquette Method is a type of natural family planning (NFP) for couples to observe and track signs of fertility to change their behaviors to avoid or achieve pregnancy.
The method uses two main indicators to determine fertility: cervical mucus observations and urinary hormone measurements. One or both signs are tracked based on user preference, and then combined with a simple protocol to determine the days pregnancy is possible. This method is suitable for women with regular cycles, irregular cycles, women who are breastfeeding, postpartum, or approaching menopause.
