It has been over 50 years since Nostra Aetate, the Second Vatican Council statement on interreligious relations, was decreed. While it is significant for its positive stance for interfaith dialogue between Catholics and all world religions, it has been especially important for creating a new era of dialogue and understanding between Catholics and Jews.
