Why Catholic Campus Ministry?
Catholic Campus Ministry in the Diocese of Charleston exists to bring college students into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, connect and engage them with the life and mission of His Church, and send them out as missionary disciples for the continuation of His Kingdom.
What exactly does Catholic Campus Ministry do?
Catholic Campus Ministry exists to provide a ‘home away from home’ for students on college campuses while building them up in their Catholic faith. Each ministry provides events, programming, and other activities centered on the intellectual and spiritual formation of students while providing an atmosphere that is also welcoming and fun! Some of these activities include:
- Off-campus retreats
- Diocesan wide annual gatherings
- On-campus small group studies on Scripture and Theology
- Opportunities to gather for devotional prayer
- Small group faith sharing
- Plenty of free food
- Service projects in your local community
- RCIA for those seeking to enter the fullness of our Faith
- Guest speakers to talk on the Church’s response to current events
- Tailgates, game nights, fun excursions off campus
- AND SO MUCH MORE!
All centered on and flowing from our celebration of the Holy Eucharist at Sunday Mass!
