Fifth Grade Teacher

Our Lady of Peace School (4K-8) in North Augusta, SC was founded in 1956 and has since been a cornerstone of faith-based education in the community. The school aims to work with parents in educating children with traditional Catholic teaching. By focusing on instructing the intellect, training the will, and forming the character of students, they are prepared to lead successful, rewarding lives in a manner that nurtures the sublime end for which they have been created: eternal life with God.

Position Summary: Our Lady of Peace School seeks a fifth grade teacher for the 25-26 school year. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education or related field. Applicants without teacher certification must be willing to work toward meeting diocesan certification requirements and school assistance may be provided to meet this job expectation. Catholic applicants must be in good standing with the Church and joyfully faithful to her Magisterium. Understanding of classical educational pedagogy a plus. This position requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, using feet, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, reaching above shoulders at least 1/3 of the time. This position requires that you will lift up to 10 pounds at least 1/3 of the time.
