Mass for Migrant Workers
March 19, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
| FreeEvery year, thousands of people from Latin American countries travel to South Carolina (under H2-A Temporary Agricultural Workers legal visas) for farm work in Saluda County. They harvest in peach orchards and tobacco fields, work at chicken plants and do general farm work.
To minister to these predominantly-Catholic migrants, we will hold the first diocesan event Mass for Migrant Workers at St. William Church in Ward. Bishop Jacques Fabre-Jeune, CS, will be the celebrant and homilist. All are welcome to attend, and the Mass will be bilingual.
Please stay afterward for a meal, music and celebration.
