Assisted suicide and euthanasia talk with Wayne Cockfield

Respect Life of Precious Blood of Christ Church in Pawleys Island will host national pro-life speaker Wayne Cockfield for a talk on assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Cockfield is treasurer of the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) and vice president for Medical Ethics. He also serves as an at-large director on the organization’s board and executive committee. Since 1996, he has worked with the the committee to promote public awareness of the preset and growing threat of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Cockfield has addressed the National Conference of Pro-Life Legislators in Washington, D.C., and has been a featured speaker at numerous pro-life events.

Born in South Carolina, Cockfield served with the Marine Corp in Vietnam until gravely wounded in action in November 1969. He received the Bronze Star with V for heroism. He travels extensively speaking out for protection of medically vulnerable people including the poor, the elderly, the disabled and those who are chronically and terminally ill.
