The Chancery exists to serve the mission of the Bishop of Charleston to teach, sanctify, and govern the Catholic Church in South Carolina. Led by the Bishop, the Chancery supports the clergy, religious, and lay faithful in fulfilling the Great Commission given to us by the Lord Jesus.

The Commissioning of the Disciples

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.

When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

La Cancillería existe para servir a la misión del Obispo de Charleston de enseñar, santificar y gobernar la Iglesia Católica en Carolina del Sur. Guiada por el Obispo, la Cancillería asiste al clero, a los religiosos y a los fieles laicos en el cumplimiento de la Gran Comisión que nos dio el Señor Jesús.
