St. Kateri Tekakwitha Feast Day Celebration

The first Native American Saint, Kateri Tekakwitha feast day is July 14th. She is known as ” Lily of the Mohawks.” Kateri lived a life of holiness and virtue while facing many obstacles and opposition within her tribe. St. Kateri’s feast day will be recognized at the 5:00 pm mass at St. Martin de Porres Church on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Father Michael Okere will be the celebrant and Deacon Larry Deschaine will represent our Native American Catholics and deliver the homily. Kathy Nelson and the Keepers of the Word Drum Team will provide music. There will be a reception following the Mass. All are invited to celebrate the Mass with our Native brothers and sisters in Christ on this honorable occasion. No registration necessary.
