Music Position opening at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church/School
The ideal candidate is a team player ready to take the lead or assist the Parish Music Director in some or all of the following areas:
Provide mostly traditional music/repertoire for the Mass as vocalist, pianist, and/or organist.
Teach music in the parish school, Grades Pre-K3 to Grade 6.
Provide instruction and/or assistance for yearly school musical production.
Assistance in community event involving children’s choir.
Vocal Coaching for cantors in the parish.
Choral Conducting – the parish currently has a 50 voice children’s choir, English and Spanish Mass choirs, and a caroling choir.
Administrative tasks such as worship aid creation; copyrights and licensing reporting; and scheduling musicians
Lead music in contemporary praise and worship style for ministry events outside the Mass (piano, vocals, and/or guitar)
The position may be full or part time; all candidates will be considered. Bilingual candidates (Spanish and English) highly encouraged to apply.
