Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–11:30 AM

Position Overview

Saint Michael Catholic School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable English teacher to join our faculty on a part-time basis. This position will teach Middle School English Language Arts for grades 6–8 with an emphasis on the classical foundations of grammar, rhetoric, and logic. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for literature and writing while fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and analytical skills within a faith-filled learning environment.

Responsibilities

Teach English Language Arts to students in grades 6–8

Integrate classical literature and writing instruction into daily lessons

Foster strong grammar, composition, speaking, and critical thinking skills

Create engaging and differentiated instruction for middle school learners

Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success

Maintain positive communication with parents and guardians

Uphold the mission and values of Saint Michael Catholic School

Additional Opportunity

Qualified 8th grade students will have the opportunity to earn High School English credit.

Qualifications

Current certification in High School English

Strong background in literature, writing, grammar, and composition

Experience teaching middle or high school students

Commitment to academic excellence and Catholic education
