Veritas Center monthly series – More and Fisher

When Henry VIII demanded that his divorce be recognized so that he could marry again, Sts. John Fisher and Thomas More refused to relinquish their religious convictions — even though it meant losing their lives. They stand as models for courage in the current era.

U.S. District Judge Robert Conrad Jr. will bring their story to life at the first monthly program of the Veritas Catholic Information Center in Greenville on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 7:00 p.m. He will discuss his new book,  “John Fisher and Thomas More: Keeping Their Souls While Losing Their Heads.” View the event flyer.

Because we are working toward a building of our own, we will meet this month at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 2252 Woodruff Road in Simpsonville.
