Sr. Kathy Adamski, OSF will talk about her leadership role for Synod 2021-2023.  With this convocation, Pope Francis invites the whole Church to question itself on synodality: a decisive theme for the life and mission of the Church. The diocese of Charleston need to hear from all of its people and making sure that opportunities for every voice to be heard is the primary task.  Sr. Kathy will explain how this will happen. Ms. Jessie Bowens (Ms. Jessie) will share her experiences helping the people of Haiti before the earthquake. Father Michael Okere follows “Ms. Jessie” with a reflection on Haitians at our border.  Other topics include; things to do for “Black Catholic History Month” (November) with Kathleen Merritt.  The Christian Season of Creation and St. Francis day on October 4th, with Sr. Pam Smith is also on the agenda.
