As ministers, we often get so busy “doing” for the Lord and His people, that we forget our own spiritual walk. It is easy to get so wrapped up in our “ministry” and work and forget that our first call is to grow in our relationship with Christ. We can’t give what we don’t have! Often times, we are so busy planning youth nights and events, we forget to plan for our own spiritual growth. As we plan our calendars, it is important that we make sure that Christ is not a small part, but is at the forefront of all the planning and preparation that we do.

Come join us, as we have a practical day of ministry formation. We will engage in discussion and dialogue regarding great planning strategies and spiritual maintenance. Our Lord teaches us through parables about redemption and salvation. Through the stories of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin and the Lost Son, we will recognize all we have been given through a life of ministry.

Our Speaker for this CEO day will be the popular Doug Tooke. Doug will be emceeing the National Catholic Conference on Youth Ministry in December in Tampa.

Doug was the presenter at our Jr. High Rally last November and our Renew and Rejoice retreat this past May. Doug is a much sought after speaker, and recently was hired by Lifeteen and ODB Films who produced “Paul, Apostle of Christ.”

Doug Tooke is the Director of Ministry with ODB Films as well as an adjunct staff member with Life Teen International. Doug specializes in small and combined parish youth ministry training, resource development and parish coaching. With Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Philosophy and Theology and a Masters in Pastoral Ministry he has over twenty years of professional ministry experience. He has traveled to over 100 Diocese in the past 15 years teaching, keynoting conventions, and training youth ministers. He is a recipient of the National Catholic Youth Ministry Award from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry.
