Knights of Columbus Council 7129 invites you to an afternoon with Joseph Pearce on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, 2:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 915 Mathis Road in Greenwood. A reception will follow in St. Bernadette Hall, and all are welcome.

Joseph Pearce is a native of England where, early in life, he was a leader of the National Front, a British nationalist white supremacist group. He will talk of his conversion to Catholicism, a captivating story. Since that conversion he has become an internationally known author and speaker. He is currently director of book publishing at the Augustine Institute, editor of the St. Austin Review and Faith and Culture, series editor of the Ignatius Critical Editions, senior instructor with Homeschool Connections, and senior contributor at the Imaginative Conservative. Pearce is an internationally acclaimed author of many books, a few of which are The Quest for Shakespeare, Tolkien: Man and Myth, The Unmasking of Oscar Wilde, C.S. Lewis and the Catholic Church, Literary Converts, and Solzhenitsyn: A Soul in Exile. He hosted two 13-part series about Shakespeare on EWTN, and has written and presented documentaries on the Catholicism of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He has participated and lectured at a wide variety of international literary events at major colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, Britain, and many countries throughout Europe, Africa and South America.
