SUMMARY:Assisted suicide and euthanasia talk with Wayne Cockfield
DESCRIPTION:Respect Life of Precious Blood of Christ Church in Pawleys Island will host national pro-life speaker Wayne Cockfield for a talk on assisted suicide and euthanasia. \nCockfield is treasurer of the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) and vice president for Medical Ethics. He also serves as an at-large director on the organization’s board and executive committee. Since 1996\, he has worked with the the committee to promote public awareness of the preset and growing threat of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Cockfield has addressed the National Conference of Pro-Life Legislators in Washington\, D.C.\, and has been a featured speaker at numerous pro-life events. \nBorn in South Carolina\, Cockfield served with the Marine Corp in Vietnam until gravely wounded in action in November 1969. He received the Bronze Star with V for heroism. He travels extensively speaking out for protection of medically vulnerable people including the poor\, the elderly\, the disabled and those who are chronically and terminally ill. \nThe event is free and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Precious Blood of Christ Church in Pawleys Island will host a talk by Kathi Aultman\, MD\, a nationally recognized speaker. Her compelling story is a journey from atheist and abortionist to a defender of life. \nDr. Aultman is currently an associate scholar with the Charlotte Lozier Institute and a member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists\, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations\, the Florida Medical Association and is a Life-Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She retired from medicine after working as a board-certified OB/GYN from 1981-2014. Early in her career\, Dr. Aultman performed abortions\, but her experiences eventually led her to become a staunch defender of pre-born life.
