DESCRIPTION:Awake!\nCome join Catholic youth and adults from around the Diocese as we gather on March 9-10\, 2024\, at the Columbia Convention Center for the 33rd Annual Diocesan High School Youth Conference! If you prefer to mail\, our mailing address is 901 Orange Grove Road\, Charleston\, SC  29407.  Please note that in order to receive the registration cost of $100.00\, your completed registration packet must be received by the Youth Office by the February 16\, 2024\, deadline.  Postmarks will not be accepted.  There will be no exceptions to this rule!  Registration packets received after the deadline date of February 16th will not be accepted unless accompanied by the late fee of $20.00 per participant. The last day to register is February 23\, 2024.

DESCRIPTION:Awake!\nWe’ve been comfortable for far too long. Call it apathy\, laziness\, or just a lack of motivation – enough is enough. Paul didn’t have the same ‘comforts’ we do when he wrote to the Romans charging them to wake up. We can no longer put off the duty we have to live as disciples of Jesus. There’s no reason for us to wait. It’s our turn. Even now Paul reminds us to awaken and not only participate in our own salvation but bring others with us to on our journey to heaven. The world needs apostles now more than ever and we can answer the call. SUMMARY:Boot Camp for New Youth Ministers
DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled to September 19-20\, 2023 \nWhat Is Boot Camp? \nThe two-day training is for new youth leaders and those almost new who face this new position without a lot of training or experience. The main goal of this training is to help youth leaders build a strong foundation for their ministry\, and to help avoid the many pitfalls that those in youth ministry face. When we first developed the boot camp it was only a one-day training. We soon realized that we had so much information we had to cover that we decided to make it a two-day training. In order to help keep the cost down\, we will have the training at the chancery\, we will pick up your one night of lodging and we will provide most of your meals for the training. The cost for the two-day training is $75 per person. The resources that will be given away are more than what you will be paying for this training.
