SUMMARY:That All May Be One: Pentecost celebration of Christian unity & concert
DESCRIPTION:Mepkin Abbey\, with the assistance of our diocesan Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs\, will host an Ecumenical Prayer Service and Concert on June 5 at 4 p.m. in the Abbey Church. All are welcome to attend. \nThe concert will feature Robert Taylor Festival Choir and the Ensemble of St. Clare performing Cormac O’Duffy’s “Una Sancta\,” an Oratorio based on the Prison Poems of Rev. Max Joseph Metzger\, a noted ecumenist. Rev. Metzger was killed by the Nazis during World War II. He said\, “I have given my life for the peace of the world and for the Unity of Christ’s Church; God has accepted and I am glad.” \nThe Prayer Service will be followed by a reception.
