DESCRIPTION:The Beaufort Deanery celebrates the 200th Anniversary of the Diocese of Charleston. We will take you to the place where it all began Santa Elena\, South Carolina\, Spanish City. \nWe will meet at St. Peter Church parking lot \n70 Lady’s Island Drive \nBeaufort\, SC \nSaturday\, February 15\, 2020\, at 9:45 a.m. \nWe will travel by bus to Parris Island where we will view the site of Santa Elena. Dr. Lawrence Rowland will speak on the history of Santa Elena. After lunch\, Sister Pamela Smith will speak on the history of the Charleston Diocese. \nTo reserve your place\, please send a check payable to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church for $25.00 to the Parish Office at 31 St. Gregory Dr.\, Bluffton\, SC 29909\, by January 31. For Parris Island security\, please include your name\, date of birth and contact information. Seating is limited to 100 guests.
