Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Position Summary: The coordinator of Youth and Young Adult ministry provides vision and coordination for the parish efforts in ministry to Youth (9-12 grade) and Young Adults.  In providing catechetical and fellowship experiences rooted in their Catholic identity; to facilitate understanding and use of good stewardship of time, talent, and treasure within the parish community.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Direct planning and presentation of meetings for Youth (9-12 grade)

·         Plan and Coordinate meetings and events for Young Adults

·         Plan and execute ministry training events for Youth and Young Adult Ministry Volunteers-including compliance with Diocesan Virtus program and background screening

·         Plan and arrange for participation in Diocesan and other events for Youth and Young Adults

·         Coordinate appropriate fundraising events as needed.

·         Plan a yearly calendar for Youth and Young Adults ministry

·         Attend parish staff and Diocesan Deanery Youth/Young Adult Ministry meetings

Education Requirements/Position Qualifications:

Practicing Catholic in good standing with an active prayer and faith life.

Must be 21 or older

Youth/Young Adult Ministry Experience

Administrative and public relation skills

Knowledge of Spanish a plus
