K3 Lead Teacher

St Mary’s Catholic School in Greenville, SC, is accepting applications for a full-time K3 teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate would be a practicing Catholic, experienced, organized, passionate for early childhood education, able to communicate well with parents, familiar with the developmental needs and capabilities of 3- and 4-year-old children, with a calm and loving demeanor and the ability to expertly manage many small children at once.

St Mary’s Catholic School is a two-time National Blue Ribbon School with a 123-year history of academic excellence and currently serves 319 students in grades K3 through 8. St Mary’s is served by both the Dominican Sisters of St Cecilia as well as a team of experienced, dedicated lay teachers, and offers a wonderful work environment and a welcoming, familial atmosphere.

St Mary’s K3 curriculum is fundamentally academic and focuses on fine and gross motor skills, an introduction to letters and their sounds, educational play, listening skills, cooperation, personal responsibility, managing emotions, song, prayer, and the Catholic faith. The lead teacher is supported in the classroom by two full-time aides, and students experience enrichment classes in Art, Music, Spanish, and French with other St Mary’s teachers.
