Full-Time Physical Education Teacher

The Physical Education Teacher develops students’ physical skills and abilities, knowledge of sports, teamwork, and sportsmanship. He/she will develop the students’ understanding of the importance of exercise for physical and mental well-being and motivate students to work towards physical fitness and good health.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in education or related field or experience
• Experience in coaching and playing sports
• Knowledge of coaching techniques and rules of sports
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with student, staff, parents, and the community
• Witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits

Primary Duties:

• Plan and implement a comprehensive athletic education for students
• Teach physical education classes to students from K3 to eighth grade
• Create or oversee after school athletic programs
• Supervise school athletic competitions
• Work effectively to identify and nurture athletic ability in students
• Maintain athletic inventory
• Support the mission of the school
• Other related duties as assigned by the principal
