Part-time Groundskeeper

Up to 25 hours/week with flexibility

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Assists with landscape maintenance including mowing, weeding, trimming, planting, mulching and watering as needed.
• Participates in the wider mission of the parish to provide a clean, safe, and well-kept facility while demonstrating Christian charity.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Demonstrates experience working independently.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of a variety of landscape equipment, including hand tools, gas equipment and gator vehicles.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
• Ability to apply common sense implementation of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands:

• Considerable physical effort is required for more than 70% of the job functions.
• Able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally to lift/move over 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Frequently exposed to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, loud noises, and unpleasant orders.
• Periodically exposed to hazards and physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

FLSA Status:  Non-exempt

Compensation:  Commensurate with experience.
