The Director of Real Estate will review and manage real estate transactions and will monitor construction and renovation projects throughout the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. The Director will assess, evaluate, and make recommendations with regard to existing real estate. The Director also acts as liaison with legal counsel and the Diocesan Office of Risk Management. The position requires initiative and the ability to deal with multiple demands and complex real estate matters considering both civil law and Canon law implications.

Qualifications: Knowledge of real estate leasing is essential. Mature judgment in the general business terms and conditions with regard to leasing, buying and selling real estate, construction, and renovation matters. Ten years of experience in real estate and property management as well as experience with construction and renovation projects. Effective personal interactive, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must possess strong teamwork skills and respond to requests with a customer-service oriented manner. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

This position is a full-time position with some evening and weekend work. Frequent day travel and occasional overnight travel are required.
