It will be held Sunday\, June 25\, at Marrington Bowling Center at Joint Base Charleston in Goose Creek from 12:30-5:00 p.m. Cost is $50/bowler  | $300/team (six bowlers per team). Each bowler’s registration includes two games of bowling\, shoe rental\, a t-shirt\, food and beverages. \nBowlers\, Team Captains\, Team/Sponsor Combo REGISTER HERE \nSponsor Only Donations REGISTER HERE \nThis year’s event goes to benefit: \n\nSisters of Saint Michael the Archangel at St. Clare’s Home — The St. Clare’s Home is a maternity home for women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy with no other options and no other place to go.  It is open to women eighteen and older and will accommodate children as old as five years.\nNeighborhood House — Our Lady of Mercy Outreach Providing food\, clothing\, and life- and job-skills guidance for souls in need in downtown Charleston.\nCamp Rise Above — Providing a camp setting for children that have special needs/ disabilities that prevent them from attending traditional camp settings.\nMelkite Greek Catholics in the Diocese of Zahle in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon — This Catholic community has a special connection to the Lebanese community of Charleston.  Sadly\, our brothers and sisters in Christ in Lebanon are suffering from the effects of persecution and poverty.  We will support food and medicine for this faithful Catholic community in need.

DESCRIPTION:The Feast Day of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha\, patron saint of traditional ecology\, Indigenous Peoples\, and care for creation.   Join us for Mass at St. Martin de Porres in Columbia on Friday\, July 14\, 2023\, at 12 Noon as we celebrate our First Native American Saint in the United States.  Let us call on her for our ecology\, the challenges of Native Americans today and a greater care for God’s Creation.   When three or more are gathered in his name God is in their mist.  Let us celebrate the gifts our Native American brothers and sisters bring to the Church.  Father Michael Okere is our celebrant and Deacon Larry Deschaine  will deliver the homily.  Deacon Larry Deschaine is the second Native American deacon to be ordained in the Diocese of Charleston.   Kathy Nelson and Keepers of the Word Drum Team will lead the congregation in song.   All are invited!

Anne & Joachim ( Parents of Mary and Grandparents of Jesus) for Couples Struggling with Infertility. Pious tradition tells us that they spent most of their life together as childless couple\, thus they are the patron saints for infertility and also for grandparents. \nEvery night\, prayers will be said including specific intentions and a brief story of St Anne & St Joachim. Please submit prayer intentions when you register.
