It is a gathering of the young church of over 25\,000 Catholic youth and adults from all over the United States – a special three-day event that has something for everyone! \nWhether attending the large keynote gatherings in the Lucas Oil Stadium (dome stadium for the Indianapolis Colts)\, to listening to relevant presenters in smaller workshop settings\, to exploring the huge exhibit hall\, to simply sitting in prayer in one of the many adoration rooms\, to seeing over 300 priests\, bishops\, or cardinals process in for the closing mass on Saturday night – this is the biggest gathering of Catholic youth in the United States! \nThe emcees for this year’s NCYC will be Sister Josephine Garrett\, CSFN and Mari Pablo. SUMMARY:Young Moms' Advent Retreat
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to offer young moms a chance to get away to renew and refresh. It’s a retreat for moms to relax\, read\, walk\, and connect with other moms. There will be mini-reflections\, discussions\, adoration\, but most of all\, time to pray and REST. \nThe cost of the retreat will be $125 for a shared room (more for a single room) and will include one night’s lodging (bedding and towels provided) 3 meals\, and some peace and quiet. It will be a full 24 hours away of no housework\, no cooking\, and no other concerns except seeking what God is asking of you at this time away. \nThe retreat will have a simple schedule with lots of free time. Nursing babies are welcome! \n​Friday\, Dec. 8 7:00pm until Saturday\, Dec. 9 7:00pm with an optional stay on Saturday evening. DESCRIPTION:Advent is a time of preparation. What better way to prepare for the birth of our Lord than a day of reflection with other young adult women? Join us Saturday\, December 9 from 10am-4pm at the Basilica of St. Peter in Columbia\, SC. Our presenter is author and speaker\, Kathryn Whitaker\, from Austin Texas. \nKATHRYN WHITAKER is the author of Live Big\, Love Bigger\, an award-winning book about living an intentional\, hell yes\, kind of life. She’s a sixth-generation Texan who was raised as an evangelical Protestant and then converted to Catholicism on the eve of her wedding. On social media and her blog\, Kathryn shares her honest take on family life and living the Gospel\, all while drinking Dr Pepper and cheering on the Texas Aggies. She has appeared in USA Today\, EWTN\, radio and TV stations around the country and is a frequent guest/sometimes host on The Catholic Channel on SiriusXM.
