SUMMARY:2025 Bishop England Trek - Catholic Scouting
DESCRIPTION:The Diocese of Charleston’s Catholic Committee on Scouting is pleased to announce the 2025 Bishop England Trek\, which will be July 13-18. The trek is a biennial high adventure Catholic leadership program for Catholic Scouts and Venturing Crew members. \nThis year’s trek will be a sailing adventure on Lake Strom Thurmond (Clarks Hill)\, which borders South Carolina and Georgia. The trek will include four days of sailing and camping\, plus daily Mass\, daily recitation of the rosary\, Liturgy of the Hours\, vocation talks\, and discussions on faith and the Catholic Church. \nThe program provides an opportunity to bring Catholic youth from the Atlanta Province together with selected priests\, religious and seminarians in the context of a religious retreat and high-adventure Scouting experience. The program is open to male and female Scouts aged 13 to 20. \nSponsored by the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting\, part of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry\, we encourage pastors to promote this program to the youth of their parish\, especially those involved in Scouting. \nQuestions may be directed to George Faller\, Committee Chair: GFaller56@yahoo.com\, 803-414-7181.
